   For Adoption

SLY (available)

Visit Sly's Photo Album

Sly is an 6 year old Alaskan malamute mixed breed canine, very fond of people, very social, gets along great with other dogs. He loves walks and rides well in the car. He is full of kisses and energy. Sly is extremely anxious to please and jumps up to greet you but responds to redirection. While he will need some reinforcement to keep from jumping up and pulling at the leash, his eagerness to please will make him a quick learner for better manners. His fondness for human contact, his ability to get along with most other dogs and exuberance for play, makes him a good candidate for a two animal home as well as a single pet family. Once you see this gorgeous animal and look into his piercing smiling eyes you'll find it hard to walk away.

If you are interested in Sly, please read our adoption requirements, submit an application, or contact us by calling (732) 534-5745. However, before you complete the adoption application, read the adoption requirements first at http://howlingwoods.org/adoption_requirements.html. Sly cannot go to a home that has a fence made of wood.

TUCKER (available)

Visit Tucker's Photo Album

Tucker is a blizzard white, stunning young neutered male Husky/Shepherd mix who came to our organization from a horrendous hoarding situation in Kentucky, where more than half of the dogs found penned together starved to death. He was completely feral when we rescued him in November, likely never having had significant human contact or attention. He is still cautious but has come a long way to trusting humans. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, completely willing to let them take the lead. He would make a perfect “companion dog” to a Northern Breed type dog who spends a lot of time outside, or a good companion to someone with the patience to work with him and who is willing to give this dog the life he has always deserved. His eyes are sent from heaven; set in an oblique slant and are a warm chocolate brown with which he intelligently studies the world.

If you are interested in Tucker, please submit an application, or contact us by calling (732) 534-5745.

Pearl is a bundle of energy and love! She came to us with little training but now is a well mannered girl. She has learned to walk well on a leash and follow basic commands. Pecos is a young energetic happy boy. He is handsome and full of love. He loves being with people and is very willing to please!  He is doing well in his new environment but would really like a forever home. He has no trouble with his pen mate so would probably do good either by himself or with another dog. He is well behaved inside the house. If you are looking for a dog that will appreciate your company and bring you lots of smiles Pecos is your boy!

Taigo is a pure gentleman. A gentle fluffy boy. He loves adults and children and gets along well with most (though not all) other canines he meets. He will need some training walking on leash and is getting better all the time, and has some seperation anxiety issues.  He adores attention and and play time. Taigo is a diamond in the fluff looking for some basic training and and home to spread his love around. Would be a good family dog.

Taigo will not need a companion canine.
