Takoda is a mix
of grey wolf and eastern timber wolf. He was born
April 15, 2004 and weighs about 95 lbs. He is
gentle, friendly and loves head scratches. He
just loves to meet everyone. In Cherokee, his
name means 'Friend to All'.
Like our other canines,
his diet consists of raw chicken, deer, eggs,
organ meats and other raw foods.
Takoda's line originated in
fur farms out west and in Canada, at a time when
wolves were grown for pelts. These fur farms no
longer exist, but most domesticated wolves and
wolf hybrids in existence today originated from
these farms.
